Mimi Coffey is an experienced lawyer in the field of DWI defense for Texas Drunk Driving Law. Mimi, as the founder of the Premier DWI Trial Lawyers Seminar, has helped train attorneys from across the state on topics to assist a motivated ambitious trial lawyer in handling driving while intoxicated cases. Not only does Mimi Coffey speak to other attorneys about DWI trial strategies, she also speaks to other various groups welcoming the opportunity to share her knowledge or to encourage others. One local judge invited Mimi to participate in a mock DWI trial presented as a learning aid for local elementary students. She has participated in Career Day activities at N.A. Howry Junior High School in Lake Worth, Texas.

Mimi Coffey is a native to Ft. Worth. She was born and raised in Ft. Worth, graduating salutatorian from Brewer High School. She obtained her B.A. from Baylor University with a major in Political Science, and a minor with more hours in Geology giving her an extensive scientific background. She went on to obtain her jurisdoctorate from the Texas Tech School of Law. She worked for 4 1/2 years for the Law Firm of Bailey and Galyen as a criminal defense lawyer handling half of the firm's Tarrant County misdemeanor docket, largely comprising of DWI's, until opening her own DWI practice in April of 2000.

Mimi Coffey has received training in the NHTSA DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing as both a practitioner and instructor.

Mimi Coffey has completed The Robert F. Borkenstein Course on
Alcohol and Highway Safety: Testing, Research and Litigation sponsored by
Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. This is the course attended by state
breath test technical supervisors.

Mimi Coffey has successfully completed training as an Intoxilyzer 5000 series Operator and Maintenance Technician. This training meets the requirements of the Department of Transportation 49CFR Part 40, and was conducted by C.E.S. Consulting, Inc.
